Safety and installation contradictions
Steps that disagree with the parts list, the hardware in the carton, or each other.
Example: a quick-link product whose step 9 told installers to pry a chain link open with pliers.
Technical documentation, audited and corrected
AiRedlineDocs audits assembly instructions, line drawings, manuals and parts lists against your own templates and standards. You get a numbered defect list, corrected documents, and translations that match your English page for page.
Detect errors. Correct documents. Translate with confidence.
What we catch
Most errors in product documents are invisible on screen. They show up later, in a customer's living room, at the printer, or in a one-star review.
Steps that disagree with the parts list, the hardware in the carton, or each other.
Example: a quick-link product whose step 9 told installers to pry a chain link open with pliers.
Mistranslated part names, mixed formal and informal address, and the same part called three different things.
Example: one part, three French names across the parts list, steps and drawing. We enforce one name per part, per language.
Line drawings checked against your website and marketing specifications before anything is published.
Example: a dimension sheet carrying a stray item number from another product, a sign it was cloned.
Wrong font families, compressed leading, inconsistent sizes, and fonts that silently drop accented characters.
Example: body copy squeezed to 6.8 pt leading against an 8/11 standard.
Low-resolution artwork, callouts baked into images, rich-black ink on text, and links to files on someone's laptop.
Example: black label bars printed in Registration, which is 400% ink, on every page of a carton insert.
Errors in the master templates that get copied into every new document built from them.
Example: masters listing Width / Depth / Height when the standard is Height / Width / Depth.
From our first engagement
We audited the assembly instruction and dimension sheet library of a premium lighting and furniture manufacturer. These are counts from that work.
Methodology: counts come from a 2026 pilot engagement. 55 = 11 production and typography, 16 English copy, 11 French copy and 17 artwork findings on one document set. 35 = 20 assembly-template and 15 dimension-sheet master defects logged during the same work. Client name withheld.
How it works
We don't hand you a generic AI and walk away. We study your documents, agree the standard with your team, and build a tool around it. It gets sharper every time your people use it.
Send a representative set: assembly and installation instructions, line drawings, manuals, parts lists, and any templates or style rules you already have. PDF, InDesign, Word and vendor artwork all work.
We map where your library disagrees with itself: conflicting steps, part names that change between pages, translations that drift, dimensions that don't match the spec. Each finding comes with the rule it breaks and the fix.
Together we choose the master template or templates, lock in your glossary, and decide where a person must sign off: safety copy, translations, dimensions, anything with liability attached.
Your templates, rules and review checkpoints become your own redline tool. It checks new documents the way your best reviewer would, and stops for human approval exactly where you told it to.
Every correction your team accepts and every exception it approves becomes a rule. New products, new languages and new templates are absorbed as you go, so the tool keeps pace with your catalog.
Technical support from people who understand both the software and the shop floor: questions, new document types, template changes, or a second set of eyes on a tricky release.

How we handle risk
Assembly and installation documents carry real liability. Speed only helps if the result is right.
Warnings, grounding instructions, polarized-plug and code-compliance language are flagged with a proposed correction and left as-is until your safety owner approves.
We clean up and typeset artwork your vendor supplies. Where no source drawing exists, you get a markup and a drawing spec for your illustrator, not a guess.
Translations come from approved English and your glossary. We recommend a native-speaker pass on safety text before release.
We follow your layout and wording. When a template itself is wrong, we list the correction instead of copying the error forward.
Why we built this
I've run plants and owned product P&Ls. A wrong step in an instruction sheet costs far more than the sheet ever did.

FAQ
PDF for audit and final delivery, InDesign IDML when you want an editable source back, Illustrator or vector PDF artwork from your vendors, and Word for text-heavy manuals.
Any language you ship in. Translations are made from your approved English and checked against your glossary so part names match the drawings.
They make the audit sharper, because every finding can cite your own standard. Without them, we start from the documents themselves and propose a standard as we go.
We correct and typeset vendor artwork: line weights, resolution and live-type callouts. We don't draw product geometry from photos or descriptions, because an illustration that looks right but isn't measured is a safety risk.
When your reviewers accept a correction or approve an exception, that decision is saved as a rule for your documents. The next document is checked against everything your team has already decided, so the same question doesn't come up twice.
It's the work in steps 2 to 4 of How it works: mapping the inconsistencies in your documents, agreeing your standard and review checkpoints with your team, and building your tool around them. It's a one-time $100 on Pay as you go and included with Monthly and Annual subscriptions.
Monthly and Annual subscribers get technical support free: help with the tool, adding new document types or languages, updating templates, and reviewing a difficult release with you. Pay-as-you-go orders don't include support.
Pay as you go costs 90¢ a page plus a one-time $100 Discovery & Setup fee. Monthly is $9 for 100 pages a month; Annual is $90 for 1,000 pages a year. Both subscriptions include Discovery & Setup and technical support at no charge, and extra pages are 7¢ each. Unused pages roll over on Annual and reset each month on Monthly. Each language version counts as its own pages.
Nothing stops. Extra pages are billed at 7¢ each. Monthly allowances refill at the start of each month; Annual allowances refill each year, plus any unused pages you carried over.
